El Salvadoran man charged with illegal re-entry

PHILADELPHIA — An El Salvadoran man was charged Thursday with illegal re-entry into the United States. The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Philadelphia.

Edgar Ulices Velasquez, aka "Edgar Giovanni Hernandez," 32, of Allentown, who was originally removed from the country in 2002, faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

The defendant is presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court.
