MIAMI - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today that a five-day targeted fugitive enforcement operation last week in Miami, Broward, Palm Beach, Orlando, and Tampa areas netted 71 fugitive aliens and immigration violators.

During the operation, which concluded Friday, ICE officers arrested 60 immigration fugitives who ignored lawful orders of removal and went into hiding and 11 other immigration violators.

CHARLOTTE, NC - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today that a five-day targeted fugitive operation that culminated Friday in the Carolinas and Georgia netted 104 fugitive aliens and immigration violators.

Among those arrested were 94 fugitives who ignored lawful orders of removal and went into hiding and 10 other immigration violators.

This new process will provide local officers as much information available about individuals they arrest and help to more efficiently identify criminal aliens for potential removal.

Wake County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday became the first of four law enforcement agencies in North Carolina to receive new database link that will automatically check the criminal and immigration history of all individuals booked into the jail. MIAMI - More than 110 immigration fugitives and immigration violators were arrested here following a five-day targeted enforcement action last week by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE's) Miami fugitive operations teams. This enforcement effort focused on identifying fugitives residing in Miami, Broward, Palm Beach, Orlando, and Tampa areas.

During the operation, which concluded Friday, ICE deportation officers and immigration enforcement agents arrested 96 immigration fugitives and 15 immigration violators.

PHILADELPHIA - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today that its fugitive operations teams based in Philadelphia detention and removal office arrested 37 fugitives, which included 14 with criminal records, during a targeted operation which started on October 14th and ended on October 26th. During the operation an additional 62 immigration violators were arrested, 27 with criminal histories. All of the arrests occurred in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

NEW YORK, NY - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arrested 96 fugitives and immigration violators in New York and Long Island during a targeted enforcement, which began on October 14th and concluded October 26th.

Of the 96 aliens arrested, 90 were fugitive targets of the operation and 46 of them had criminal histories. Six other immigration violators were also arrested during the operation, all with criminal histories.

NEWARK, NJ - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today its four New Jersey Fugitive Operations Teams arrested a total of 145 fugitive aliens during a nearly two-week long operation that began October 14 and concluded yesterday.

In New Jersey, of the 145 fugitives arrested, 65 had criminal records. During the operation, an additional 44 immigration violators were arrested, 22 of whom had criminal histories.

NEWARK, NJ - U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today its four New Jersey area fugitive operations teams arrested a total of 76 fugitive aliens and immigration violators during a six-day operation which ended over the weekend.

Of the 76 arrests, 60 were fugitives and 16 were individuals ICE determined to be illegally present in the United States. Of the 60 fugitives, 24 had criminal records. Seven of the illegal aliens also had criminal histories.

MIAMI - More than 115 immigration fugitives and immigration violators were arrested here following a five-day targeted enforcement action last week by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Miami Fugitive Operations Team. The items, which included terra cotta cones inscribed in Cuneiform text, a praying god figurine that was once imbedded in a Sumerian temple and coins bearing the likenesses of ancient emperors, are an illustration of the long and varied history of the country now known as Iraq. Remnants of ancient Cuneiform tablets, which were seized by the Customs Service in 2001, were recovered from beneath the ruins of the World Trade Center.
