A previously deported illegal alien from Mexico, Idelfonso Garcia-Benitez, was charged Thursday with smuggling a group of 14 illegal aliens that resulted in seven being killed and one injured in critical condition.

Luciano Mendez-Rojas was sentenced to 21 years in prison April 16 for sexually exploiting a child and distributing images and videos of child pornography over the Internet. Richard Castle has been extradited to the U.S. to faces charges of coercion of a minor and travelling with intent to engage in illicit sexual contact with a minor. The charges are related to a trip he allegedly made to Ohio from his home in order to have sexual relations with a juvenile in June 2011.

Jose Maria Carbajal Jr. pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 1,000 kilograms of marijuana and to making a false statement on a loan application to a federally insured bank. Carbajal transported marijuana from September 2008 to January 2011 through ranches around the Falfurrias U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint.

Jose Hernandez-Velazquez, a Los-Angeles-area man who owned rental property in Delano, Calif., was sentenced Monday to 60 years in federal prison. Between January 2010 and February 2011, Hernandez-Velazquez produced videos and images showing himself engaged in sexual acts with four minor victims aged 3 to 14.

Laura Sigler was sentenced Monday to nearly 22 years in federal prison for producing child pornography with a 5-year-old child in November 2011 for rent money.
