United States District Court Senior Judge James E. Gritzner sentenced Andrew Scott Scanlan, age 33, formerly of Newton, to 840 months in prison for two counts of production of child pornography and one count of Offense by a Registered Sex Offender, Thursday, announced HSI Special Agent in Charge Katherine Greer and United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal.
The five South Dakota men arrested included the following, each charged under federal law with attempted enticement of a minor using the internet: Kent Mews, 55, Sioux Falls; Zachary Murray, 35, Brookings; Sky Thomas Roubideaux, 22, Tea; Elliott Anderson, 25, Sioux Falls; and Jordan Matthew Hermanson, 31, Sioux Falls.
Jostin Arthur Desco, 28, was sentenced today to 50 years in federal prison after having pleaded guilty to production of child pornography and commission of an offense against a child by a registered sex offender, announced acting Special Agent in Charge James C. Harris III, ICE HSI and United States Attorney Dawn N. Ison.
Following a two-day jury trial in U.S. District Court, Alexander Dewayne Noah, 25, of Tazewell, Tennessee, was convicted of possession of child exploitation materials.
According to court documents, Curtis Bradley, 63, of Louisville, Kentucky, sexually assaulted a minor female on more than 100 occasions, over the course of several years, beginning when the victim was only 11 years old.
Bryan Morse, 61, of Chadron, Nebraska, was sentenced Friday in Lincoln for possession of child pornography. United States District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Morse to 156 months’ imprisonment following an ICE HSI probe.
David De Los Santos, 30, of Laredo, pleaded guilty March 3 before U.S. District Judge Diana Saldaña who accepted his guilty plea for receiving and possessing child pornography. During his court hearing, De Los Santos told the court he was challenging the content of those items discovered. The investigation began after ICE HSI linked De Los Santos to child exploitative materials on the internet.
Justin Treanton, age 37, of Bettendorf, was sentenced on Monday, to 30 years in federal prison for the production of child pornography and 20 years in prison for the possession of child pornography, with the sentences run consecutively for a total of 50 years in federal prison following an ICE HSI, law enforcement partner, investigation.
Edward Sanchez, 59, a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, was sentenced to life in federal prison March 1 in the Southern District of Texas. A federal jury convicted Sanchez July 26, 2021, following a week-long trial and approximately 10 hours of deliberation. Sanchez will also be ordered to register as a sex offender.
Johnny E. Gutierrez, 21, from Melvin, Iowa, received the prison term after an April 21, 2021, guilty plea to two counts of possession of child pornography.
Charged was Timothy Raymond Milley, 68, who was a Minister at the Cataraqui Church in Deseronto, Ontario, Canada.
Vincent Dominy, 30, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge M. Douglas Harpool to 35 years in federal prison without parole. The court also sentenced Dominy to 15 years of supervised release following incarceration and ordered him to pay $5,000 in victim restitution.
After pleading guilty to production of child pornography, Moctezuma Lopez, 28, of Paris, Kentucky, was sentenced in federal court to serve 180 months in prison.
Eugene Charles McGrath, 55, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was recently sentenced to serve 300 months in federal prison for producing child exploitation materials.
Zachery McCuen, age 29, of Carter Lake, was sentenced on Monday, to 96 months in prison for accessing child pornography. McCuen’s term of imprisonment will be followed by five years of supervised release.
Steven Lopez, 31, a resident of Corpus Christi, was also ordered to pay restitution to his identified victim, to register as a sex offender and to serve the rest of his life on supervised release following completion of his prison term. Lopez pleaded guilty to charges Nov. 8, 2021.
Thomas Wallin, 23, of South Jordan, pleaded guilty to the production and dissemination of child exploitation materials. In the plea agreement, Wallin admitted to sexually abusing a minor in 2019, and to producing and distributing a sexually explicit depiction of the abuse using the internet.
Juan Ruperto Perez-Avila, 52, wanted in Mexico for aggravated rape of a child, entered the U.S. without inspection April of 2012, near El Paso, Texas and was returned to Mexico via the San Ysidro Port of Entry, California.
Timothy Caylor, 49, pleaded guilty to production of child pornography in September 2021. According to his plea agreement, after receiving a complaint of a couple whose daughter had received inappropriate text and voice messages from Caylor, law enforcement went to his mother’s residence, where he was staying.
According to documents filed in court and witness testimony, from November 2017 through February 2020, Timothy Chad Canady (Canady), 43, currently of Knoxville, possessed child sexual abuse material and transported it in interstate commerce using social media websites to communicate with others to trade links.
Reuben Rankin, 36, of Cleveland, Ohio, was convicted of assaulting a federal agent with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, sex trafficking of a minor, production of child pornography and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Derrick Stephen Walker, 46, of Minot, North Dakota, was found guilty by jury trial of six counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, involving six separate minor victims, and one count of receipt of images depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.
Matthew Carter, 31, of Yankton, South Dakota, was found guilty on one count of possession of child pornography by a federal jury in Sioux Falls, Jan. 26.
HSI SAC Kansas City and United States Attorney Jan Sharp announced that Krystal Smith, 30, formerly of Bruning, Nebraska, was sentenced Jan. 26, 2022 in Lincoln by United States District Judge John M. Gerrard for distribution of visual depictions of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Following an investigation by ICE HSI, Joshua Marc Hendon, 36, and his wife, Lori Hendon, both of Minor Hill, Tennessee, were indicted in October 2017 on charges of conspiracy to produce child pornography, nine counts of production of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
