Following a joint investigation led by ICE's HSI, Christopher A. Pearson, 29, of Roanoke was sentenced today to 84 months of federal incarceration and 10 years of supervised release on charges related to his possession of child pornography.
Stephen Sims of Palm Springs, Calif., was sentenced today by Senior U.S. District Court Judge Gustave Diamond in the Western District of Pennsylvania to 17 years in prison for engaging in a child exploitation enterprise.
Five south Texas men, who were convicted of sexual offences against children, were arrested this week by officers with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in an operation targeting convicted criminal aliens.

In addition, Scott H. Denney, 48, must register as a sex offender and pay $10,000 in restitution to the victim of the "Vicky" series. He was ordered to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons at the end of February.
David Ivins, 34, of Feasterville, Pa., was sentenced January 24 to 72 months in prison for possession of child pornography. Ivins was charged May 7, 2009, with possession of more than 600 images of child pornography and Ivins was convicted by a jury in a case investigated by ICE's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Kenneth S. King, 63, of Fort Worth, Texas, who was ordered to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons by the end of next month, must also register as a sex offender and pay a $5000 fine.

Rafael Luis Mieles, 25, of Baltimore, pleaded guilty today to distributing child pornography in connection with an online ad he posted seeking to have sex with a father and son.
Gustavo G. Olvera, 37, was arrested on Jan. 6 on charges of child enticement and receiving child pornography outlined in a federal criminal complaint. A federal grand jury in Fort Worth indicted Olvera Jan. 12 for those offenses.

Donald Earl Marsh, 62, was sentenced Jan. 12 by Senior U.S. District Judge Hayden Head to 216 months in federal prison without parole, to be followed by a lifetime term of supervised release, a $25,000 fine and registering as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Steven Tadlock, 45, was sentenced to 72 months in prison on child pornography and obstruction of justice charges Jan. 11. Tadlock distributed images over the Internet to other users and engaged in chats with other users about how to "groom" children for sexual activity.
