Stephen Jabbour, 57, pleaded guilty Jan. 7 to possessing and receiving child pornography via the Internet during a hearing before Senior U.S. Judge Hayden Head. Jabbour admitted he had possessed and received child pornography via newsgroups on the Internet in 2008.

Roger Wesley Farris II, 41, of Waynesboro, Va., was sentenced in federal court to 44 months in prison and 15 years of supervised release on his conviction related to attempting to arrange for sex with a minor child.

In April 2007, a federal grand jury in Dallas returned a one-count indictment against Tommy Dale Daniel, 62, of Farmers Branch, Texas, charging him with possessing child pornography.

Steven C. Albers, 42, of Kansas City-North, Mo., was sentenced Jan. 6 by U.S. Chief District Judge Fernando J. Gaitan, Western District of Missouri, to 15 years in federal prison without parole for attempted commercial sex trafficking of a child.

Lt. Cmdr. Mark Tilford, 43, a Corpus Christi resident and active duty Navy lawyer, was charged in a nine-count sealed indictment returned by a Corpus Christi grand jury on Dec. 20. Manuel Elvir-Rodriguez, 21, and Elvis J. Correa, 22, both citizens of Honduras, and Elder Guzman-Reyes, a 27-year-old citizen of Mexico, were encountered by DRO officers while conducting Criminal Alien Program (CAP) screening at the Louisiana Department of Corrections.

Juan Vera-Serna, 34, was identified by DRO officers on May 7, 2009, during screening at the Horn Lake Police Department following his arrest for simple assault, simple assault with intent and felony child fondling.

Ignacio McDonald-Lopez, 47, was arrested as a result of the Joint Criminal Alien Removal Taskforce, which focuses on identifying, locating and arresting criminal aliens. McDonald-Lopez pleaded guilty in a Tennessee court in August 2000 to aggravated sexual battery and was later sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Manuel Barraza-Garcia, a U.S. permanent resident, became deportable after he was convicted of indecency with a child, which is a second-degree felony. Agents assigned to the ICE Office in Pecos arrested the 52-year-old at his home in Monahans, Texas.
