On July 25, 2013, as one of the ICE ERO agents attempting to apprehend Francisco Sosa-Lopez approached him, Alisha Johnson drove her vehicle over the curb and into the agent, striking the agent on the left leg.
In 2013, all four Texas offices deported 2,124 sex offenders; 508 were convicted of sex offenses against a minor. In fiscal year 2012, Texas ERO offices deported 2,007 sex offenders, and 2,127 in 2011.
Of the 57 arrested, 54 individuals had prior convictions for crimes including some of the following violations: criminal sexual conduct against a minor, felony assault with a weapon, felony carrying a concealed weapon, larceny, and drug possession. The remaining three were priorities for arrest as egregious immigration violators.
Fredericus Hubertus Slicher, 77, of Baltimore, was sentenced March 7 by U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett to three months in prison followed by one year of supervised release. Judge Bennett also entered an order that Slicher pay restitution of $48,928 for social security and Medicare benefits unlawfully received.
The Criminal Alien Program (CAP) operation was conducted throughout Virginia and the district from Feb. 23 to 27, identifying previously convicted criminal aliens that circumvented identification in local jails and are amenable to removal from the United States.
Genaro Olaguez-Rendon, a Mexican national who resided in the Sacramento area, was deported to his native country Tuesday by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). He faces multiple homicide charges stemming from an attack 14 years ago that killed eight government officials in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.
Syed Maaz Shah, 26, was convicted of being an alien in possession of a firearm in September 2007 in Houston federal court, a federal felony charge. U.S. District Judge Melinda Harmon subsequently sentenced Shah to 78 months in federal prison.
Emilio Omar Briones-Aparicio, 32, was escorted to the Lincoln Juarez Port in Laredo, Texas, and turned over to Mexico's Procuraduria General de la Republica (PGR).
According to court documents, Carrasco-Perez was previously sentenced to four years in prison following a 1988 attempted armed robbery conviction in Illinois. ERO officers subsequently removed Carrasco-Perez from the country in 1990 following his release from prison.
Rumeal Gray, 21, departed Miami International Airport Monday, and ERO officers turned him over to authorities in Nassau, Bahamas, later that morning. Gray was in an altercation where he allegedly killed a man in February 2013 by stabbing him in the neck.
Marius Dragos Stanga, a Romanian national wanted on human trafficking and prostitution charges in his home country, was removed from the United States Tuesday by officers with ICE's Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO).

Sergio Ramos-Lopez, 46, a Mexican national who most recently lived in the Bend area, pleaded guilty to the illegal reentry charge last September.
Under the escort of ERO officers, Pawel Wojciech Chrzanovski, 25, departed Wednesday on a commercial flight from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, and was turned over to law enforcement officials in Poland Jan. 23.

According to the Mexican arrest warrant, on March 17, 2000, Miguel Cruz-Santoyo allegedly walked into an auto body shop in Morelia, Mexico, and opened fire with a semi-automatic weapon, killing three individuals and wounding two others.
Alberto Bautista-Sanchez, 30, was arrested Nov. 30 by the Pennsylvania State Police for driving under the influence. On Dec. 3, while in custody at the Franklin County Jail in Chambersburg, ERO officers served him with a notice to reinstate a prior order or removal.
Jose Luis Peralta-Ferreira, 29, was arrested by Philadelphia police for possession of marijuana and turned over to ICE custody Nov. 25.
Pedro Felipe Rosario, a Dominican national convicted of murder in his native country, was deported Tuesday by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO).
Mario Alberto Hernandez-Huerta, 32, was transferred to the custody of representatives from the Mexican Attorney General's Office.
