100 Days: Protecting America from the Worst First
News Release: 100 days of record-breaking immigration enforcement in the US interior
During the first 100 days of this administration, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has focused on the “worst first,” removing the most dangerous criminal aliens from our communities to protect our families, friends and neighbors.
Since Jan. 20, ICE has arrested 66,463 illegal aliens. Of those, 2,288 were gang members from Tren de Aragua, MS-13, 18th Street and other gangs. ICE officers and special agents have made 1,276 worksite enforcement arrests and proposed nearly $1 million in fines for businesses that hire illegal workers.
In one of ICE’s most groundbreaking successes of the first 100 days, officials have removed 65,682 criminal aliens to promote public safety and national security all over the country.
ICE uses a whole-of-government approach to immigration enforcement, using immigration detainers and partnering with federal law enforcement agencies through the 287(g) Program, which delegates certain immigration authorities to state and local law enforcement officials.
And we’re just getting started.
