HSI Buffalo Investigation Leads to New York Man Receiving 5-Year Sentence for Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
BUFFALO, N.Y. — An investigation led by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Buffalo landed a five-year sentence for a New York man who was convicted of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Jevon Flynn, 30, of Niagara Falls, was sentenced to serve 60 months in prison at the U.S. District Court for the District of Western New York on Jan. 15.
“Let this sentence serve as a warning to those in possession of narcotics who think they won’t be discovered; HSI Buffalo is committed to eradicating dangerous substances from our communities and bringing defendants to justice,” said HSI Buffalo Special Agent in Charge Erin Keegan. “We are incredibly grateful for our long-standing partnership with the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office who worked in conjunction with us on this investigation.”
According to the investigation, on March 26, 2024, while a search warrant at a residence in Niagara Falls was being executed, Flynn was located in a bedroom, with his hands near a clothing hamper. A backpack and a pair of pants were found in the clothing hamper. A plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine was found in the backpack, while two plastic baggies were found in the pants. One contained suspected fentanyl and the other contained blue-colored pressed pills. Investigators also seized another quantity of suspected methamphetamine and eight grams of suspected crack cocaine.
