ICE Detroit arrests unlawfully present citizen of Mexico with hit and run conviction

DETROIT — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement apprehended an illegally present Mexican national with a conviction for hit and run when officers arrested Hernandez-Gomez January 28 in Detroit.

“Not only does Hernandez-Gomez have a conviction for hit and run but he also has a pending DUI charge,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Detroit Field Office Director Robert Lynch. “ICE remains committed to our public safety mission by arresting and removing public safety threats and those who repeatedly break our laws.”

Hernandez-Gomez remains in ICE custody pending his removal.
