ICE HSI Sarasota special agent honored

Sarasota, Fl. – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent Edison Sorrentini, from the HSI Sarasota office, was honored as Manatee County Officer of the Year by the Manatee Hundred Club in May.

"We are proud of HSI Special Agent Edison Sorrentini," said HSI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Hector Colon. "This recognition highlights the important role of HSI special agents on a daily basis across our nation, and in particular the communities in which we serve."

Sorrentini was honored for his work in a local on-going child exploitation case.

The Manatee County Hundred Club president and vice-president presented the award to Sorrentini with HSI Tampa acting Special Agent in Charge Kevin Sibley. HSI Tampa Assistant Special Agent in Charge Hector Colon, HSI Sarasota Resident Agent in Charge Nathan Emery and HSI Sarasota agents were all on hand for the presentation. Sorrentini acknowledged the support he received from everyone in the HSI Sarasota office that made possible the success of the investigation and the recognition he received.

The Manatee County Hundred Club was chartered in 1980 and is a group of civic-minded business owners with great appreciation for law enforcement officers and their contributions to keeping the community safe.
