ICE names new ERO executive leadership

WASHINGTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced today the selections of Daniel A. Bible as the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Executive Associate Director and Russell Hott as the ERO Deputy Executive Associate Director. ERO is the principal federal law enforcement authority in charge of domestic immigration enforcement.

“With decades of experience and a strong commitment to the ICE mission, I am confident Mr. Bible and Mr. Hott will lead ERO with distinction,” said Deputy Director and Senior Official Performing the Duties of the Director Patrick J. Lechleitner.

Prior to this assignment, Bible served as the deputy executive associate director for ERO, where he directly oversaw operations and administration within ERO’s eight divisions. Bible began his federal law enforcement career in 1998, and has since held numerous senior leadership positions in ERO, including field office director in the Houston, San Antonio and Salt Lake City field offices; deputy field office director for the New York field office; unit chief for the ERO Headquarters Case Management Unit; and assistant field office director for the Washington D.C. field office. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Prior to this assignment, Hott served as the assistant director of ERO’s Enforcement Division, leading four operational subdivisions which manage nationwide initiatives supporting removal operations. Hott brings two decades of service in federal law enforcement to his new position, including experience as the field office director in the Washington, D.C. field office; assistant director of the ERO Custody Management Division; deputy assistant director of Domestic Operations-Western Operations; deputy field office director of the Boston field office; unit chief in ERO’s Removal Division; and chief of staff to former ICE Deputy Director.
