ICE provides update on G-28 eFile to stakeholders
WASHINGTON – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement provided an overview to stakeholders this week on the recently announced ERO eFile, a new web-based paperless system for immigration attorneys and accredited representatives to provide information about their eligibility to act on behalf of noncitizens in ICE custody through secure online communications. The ICE Office of Partnership and Engagement provided the overview of the new system to 170 stakeholders.
ERO eFile is a streamlined way for immigration attorneys and the Department of Justice’s Executive Office for Immigration Review’s (EOIR)-accredited representatives to submit the Form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Accredited Representative, via a secure internet platform. ERO eFile is another step in the agency’s commitment to modernizing the immigration system.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement engages with stakeholders nationwide, including state, local, tribal, territorial governments, elected officials, and law enforcement, the private sector, faith-based organizations and colleges and universities.
