Massachusetts Man Sentenced for Possessing Counterfeit Fentanyl-Laced Pills
BOSTON — A Norwell man was sentenced July 9 in federal court in Boston for narcotics charges after an investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New England.
Frederick Dechristoforo, 58, was sentenced to 30 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. In February 2024, Dechristoforo pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
In December 2021, HSI special agents conducted a search at Dechristoforo’s residence in Norwell. During the search, special agents seized approximately 785 pills that were laced with fentanyl.
Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy and HSI New England Special Agent in Charge Michael J. Krol made the announcement July 9.
