Readout from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations’ participation in NSA Annual Conference

WASHINGTON — Officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations participated in the National Sheriff’s Association’s annual conference in Oklahoma City this week, providing briefings and leading sessions on the agency’s efforts in combating drug trafficking, enhancing border security, and addressing trends in money laundering and retail crime. The agency’s participation in this weeklong event is part of its continuing efforts to partner and share critical information with local law enforcement agencies, which helps ensure safety and security in American communities.

ICE engages with stakeholders at home and abroad, including state, local, tribal and territorial governments and law enforcement agencies, elected officials, entities in the private sector, faith-based organizations, and colleges and universities. ICE enforces the laws Congress sets forth in a fiscally responsible, humane and efficient way.
