Readout of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement meeting with the Migration Policy Institute

WASHINGTON – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement leadership met with members of the Migration Policy Institute this week. MPI Senior Fellow Doris Meissner – former Commissioner of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service – and Associate Director for U.S. Immigration Policy Julia Gelatt engaged on topics including agency operations and provided the opportunity for dialogue and collaboration. Efforts to engage between non-governmental organizations and the federal government serves to increase transparency, understanding, and cooperation across shared interests.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement engages with stakeholders nationwide, including state, local, tribal, territorial governments, elected officials, and law enforcement, the private sector, faith-based organizations and colleges and universities.
