Readout from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement meeting with MITRE

WASHINGTON — Officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement met with leaders from MITRE in Virginia this week to strengthen partnerships in the private sector. These partnerships are critical for ICE, the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies to remain on the cutting edge of technology and find innovative and efficient solutions that can help the agency enforce the more than 400 laws that fall under its purview. This engagement is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to follow advances in technology to streamline and modernize its processes, thereby saving American taxpayers money.

ICE engages with stakeholders nationwide, including domestic governments, law enforcement agencies and elected officials. It also connects with stakeholders in the private sector, faith-based and activism-based organizations, and colleges and universities. The agency is committed to enforcing the laws Congress sets forth while facilitating a safe, humane and efficient immigration system.
