Readout from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement meetings with immigration stakeholders
WASHINGTON – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement leadership met with representatives from the Detention Watch Network, Physicians for Human Rights, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Immigration Centers for America this week. As a federal law enforcement agency, it is imperative to engage with stakeholders from across the immigration policy spectrum. The agency is dedicated to transparency, providing open lines of communication with stakeholders regarding its mission and operations.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement engages with stakeholders nationwide, including state, local, tribal, territorial governments, elected officials, and law enforcement, the private sector, faith-based organizations and colleges and universities. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement must enforce the laws set forth by Congress while ensuring the highest levels of care for those in our custody.
