Statement from ICE Deputy Director Thomas D. Homan on sentencing in death of HSI Special Agent

“While nothing can undo the painful loss of Special Agent Scott McGuire, we appreciate that justice was served today and we hope that this sentencing provides some small measure of comfort to his family and colleagues. We appreciate very much the support the law enforcement community – federal, state and local – has extended to his family and to our agency throughout this difficult time. We remain deeply grateful for Special Agent McGuire’s service and for the selfless manner in which he lived his life. His family will always be part of the ICE family.”
