Pedro Nel Moreno-Romero, 51, was convicted of aggravated murder in 2013 in Colombia and sentenced to 35 years imprisonment. Moreno-Romero allegedly murdered a friend, then dismembered the body with a machete and later discarded the remains in a plastic bag.

Hayatullah Dawari, 62, of Philadelphia was sentenced to two years in federal prison Sept. 19 after an investigation found the man had ties to the Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin anti-western insurgent group active in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Dawari pleaded guilty to two counts of immigration fraud, and the judge suspended the sentence in favor of immediate deportation.

Carlos Ivan Rivas-Castro, 22, was removed to El Salvador Wednesday aboard a charter flight coordinated by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Air Operations Unit. Upon arrival, ERO officers turned the fugitive over to representatives from the Salvadoran national police and Interpol.

Romeo Mihov Ruskov, 48, was removed Oct. 14 from Chicago via commercial aircraft under ERO escort, arriving in Sofia, Bulgaria, Oct. 15. Ruskov is the subject of an Interpol Red Notice related to his conviction for raping a minor in Bulgaria. He was transferred to the custody of Bulgarian law enforcement authorities to serve an outstanding four-year prison sentence for this conviction.
