The 35-year-old Guatemalan national, who fled the state of California, was arrested by local police in Waltham after they discovered he was wanted by California authorities for failing to register as a sex offender there.
ERO New York City’s Fugitive Operations team arrested the 29-year-old noncitizen without incident outside of 26 Federal Plaza in New York. He will remain in custody, without bond, pending removal proceedings.
An investigation conducted by HSI Washington, D.C. resulted in a 97-month federal prison sentence followed by 15 years of supervised release for Raymond Glover, 43, for distribution, receipt and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Kevin Castro Garcia, 31, was arrested Oct. 10 and booked into the Davidson County Jail by the Nashville Metro Police Department on criminal homicide charges for the death and burning of a 37-year-old man. Francisco Javier Alanis, 40, from Weslaco, Texas, was an assistant city manager in Progreso, Texas. He was also a school board president for the Progreso Independent School District at the time of his arrest. A federal grand jury returned the three-count superseding indictment Oct. 3.
Melvin Omar Garcia-Lopez, 39, flew from Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, and arrived in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, via chartered aircraft. Upon arrival in Honduras, Garcia was turned over to the proper authorities.
The 32-year-old citizen of Pakistan and permanent resident of Brazil was arrested without incident outside his residence in Queens.
The complaint alleges that, on Oct. 4, Oswaldo Lopez-Escobar, of Mexico, was driving a semi-truck and applied for admission into the United States from Mexico at the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales.
