BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Fugitive Operations Teams based here arrested 19 fugitive aliens and immigration violators in southern Minnesota during a three-day initiative that ended Thursday.

"Fugitive aliens" are illegal aliens who fail to appear for their immigration hearings, or they abscond after having been ordered to leave the country by a federal immigration judge.

DALLAS - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced Friday that its local teams of officers arrested 99 fugitive aliens and other immigration violators here and in surrounding communities as part of a five-day operation that ended Thursday.

"Fugitive aliens" are illegal aliens who fail to appear for their immigration hearings, or who abscond after having been ordered to leave the country by a federal immigration judge.

Three local fugitive operations teams began the operation Oct. 5, and made the arrests in Dallas, Denton and Lewisville, Texas.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today the arrests of 1,759 gang members and associates, criminals and immigration violators as part of a comprehensive law enforcement operation led by ICE agents.

NEWARK, NJ - U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced today its four New Jersey area fugitive operations teams arrested a total of 76 fugitive aliens and immigration violators during a six-day operation which ended over the weekend.

Of the 76 arrests, 60 were fugitives and 16 were individuals ICE determined to be illegally present in the United States. Of the 60 fugitives, 24 had criminal records. Seven of the illegal aliens also had criminal histories.

MIAMI - More than 115 immigration fugitives and immigration violators were arrested here following a five-day targeted enforcement action last week by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Miami Fugitive Operations Team. This enforcement effort focused on fugitives residing in Miami, Broward and the Florida Key areas.

During the operation, which concluded Friday, ICE fugitive operations teams arrested 74 immigration fugitives and 42 immigration violators. The breakdown of the arrests by county is as follows: 42 in Miami-Dade, 33 in Broward and 41 in Monroe.

PHILADELPHIA - A citizen of Italy has been returned to his homeland and turned over to Italian authorities today by officers from the Philadelphia office of detention and removal after completing a 46-month federal prison sentence.

The case developed in April of 2005 when Giuseppe Baldinucci, 64, was arrested in New York City after Italian authorities informed Homeland Security that he was wanted in Italy and may have fled to the United States.

During the five-day operation, which concluded Friday, ICE detention and removal officers and Lee and Collier County Sheriff's officers arrested 55 fugitives and seven immigration violators. Fifteen of those arrested had criminal histories that spanned from aggravated assault, battery, DUI, DUI hit and run, resisting officer without violence, burglary, weapons offenses, cocaine possession and larceny.
