CDF Corp. signs on as latest Massachusetts company to join ICE’s IMAGE employment compliance program

BOSTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Boston announced Tuesday that CDF Corporation, a leading international company based in Massachusetts that specializes in the manufacture and sale of high quality container liners and flexible packaging is the latest company in the state to sign on to the agency’s employment compliance program IMAGE (ICE Mutual Agreement between Government and Employers) Program. The IMAGE program promotes voluntary compliance and helps companies ensure they are maintaining a lawful workforce.

“We are very grateful that CDF Corporation has signed on to participate in the IMAGE program, an increasingly effective tool in helping the federal government protect our nation’s lawful workforce,” said HSI Boston Acting Special Agent in Charge Michael Shea, after the signing ceremony which took place at CDF Corporation offices in Plymouth, Massachusetts. “This sets a powerful example for the business community in our region that shows CDF Corporation’s commitment to doing what is right in the eyes of the law and to their dedication to the importance and value of hiring and maintaining a lawful workforce.”

IMAGE is a voluntary program that allows businesses to partner with ICE to maintain a secure and stable workforce and curtail the employment of unauthorized workers through outreach and education. CDF Corporation becomes the eleventh company in Massachusetts to date to sign on to the IMAGE program.

IMAGE partners agree to use sound compliance practices, including voluntarily enrolling in E-verify, an Internet-based system that compares information from an employee's Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to data from U.S Department of Homeland Security and Social Security Administration records to confirm employment eligibility. They also agree to follow written hiring policies, engage in annual self-audits and to submit to an ICE audit of the employment eligibility forms. The IMAGE program is a key part of ICE’s overall worksite enforcement strategy that seeks to promote and maintain lawful labor hiring practices nationwide.

CDF Corporation, an internationally-recognized company with partners and sales offices around the world, makes its products in the United States, at its manufacturing facilities in Plymouth, MA.
